Hmm, I'm considering starting up a Iceball test server on a Amazon AWS server.

Anyone want this? Blue_Sunglasses1

Why using AWS?

Because they use Linux which Python with PySnip is easy to work with. Duh.

Why setup another server? Unless you're going to mod it, I don't see the point when we've already got one completely empty server.

You do know that Iceball doesn't use PySnip right?

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming that he means he's already using AWS for pysnip, so he already has one.

It'd be nice. My point is, a friend of mine host Minetest servers (http://minetest.net) using the AWS systems and they are QUICK.

Point is, even the basic ones (or even free) run like dreams.

Not to mention they are Linux based. So PySnip should run off them boxes in seconds.

Well, there's a page here with some suggestions of what else (not code) can be done: https://github.com/iamgreaser/buldthens ... nt-to-help

I'm trying to figure out the best way to organise the creation and submission of these assets and such, but I'm at a bit of a loss. Right now, posting them in this thread with a clear indication that you are giving them to the project is probably your best bet (and/or hoping on IRC).
Lucky you I recently read this post. But it might be too much for Iceball.

i should be able to knock maybe half those sound FX off the list there.
block digging and placement, win/lose sounds, spade melee, countdown timer...

the explosions and gunshots I'm not 100% on since i haven't tried them before, but i'll give them a go and see what comes up.

Yeah, that's probably a bit overkill for Iceball, but thanks for the link. I'll take a look and see what there is, but for now, could people please submit an issue on the github issue tracker with details and links to the files? That'd be a great help.

What about a dedicated Iceball forum?

We're in this weird in-between period where we don't really have enough activity to warrant a separate forum, but the existing methods are being used for more than they should.

For now, here's a page on how to submit assets.

Could you guys add 32 vs 32 multiplayer support?
Ben promised it and to me it was the best thing .76 was going to have.

I have a good Game-Mode Idea Its called Bomb mode.
There are 2 HQ Tents (Green-Blue) and 1 Bomb Spawned at the middle of the map.
The Mission is to pickup the bomb and go to the enemy Tent "to blow it up" .
Simple and cool , cause it will force more Teamplay then classical CTF :D

Simple and cool INDEED. But won't you have people camping their own tent? (Like 20 people xD)
