Even better, just outright ignore the intel pickup...
I tested thepolm3's match.py changes in both 75 and 76. Looks good it works. I am not too worried about fixed command post and intel locations for season 1. So, I am going to call it complete for now.
Do we really need to worry with a cap limit? we could bump it up to 100 or so and play for 20 or 30 minutes. highest caps wins. What is a good timeframe? Remember, we are looking to play two games between each team, one as home and one as away. They dont have to be fought back to back either.
Right now, the maps are Forks and Pinnacle2. Any suggestions for other maps?
Can't we just play 2 Rounds? With 30 Minutes each and after the teams just switch sides so it wouldn't be unfair if the map is unsmmyetrical. After the 2 rounds we count the intel caps together from both rounds and the one with the highest amount of caps, wins the match. And for the "home" and "away" idea, the team who is "home" can decide the map and the starting colour. And in the second match "away" can decide the map and starting colour.
Not sure if this got suggested before, didn't read the whole thread.

But, anyways, even if this was posted, still a good idea.
Wait, Wait, you know what we should do, start an AoS League!

Having played on the practice servers a little, I would advise not using Pinnacle2.
It's one of those jojoe maps which although a small-ish island, and nice to play on casually, it is jam-packed with random buildings.. which to me doesn't make it the greatest for a small team tournament since you could hide anywhere.
Forks looks like it might work out, would need to test it with teams first and see.
Need more maps like Isle of War! Deucehills, Standoff, TheStash, Island Passage..
I know I made those maps and it looks like I'm boasting, but they are a few from a very small list of maps that I would call 'good' for smallish competitive matches. They can handle 3vs3 up to 8vs8 kinda size, some being slightly higher/lower in range.
We really need to get people making these kinds of maps, there's simply too few suitable ones. Perhaps a 'small map' competition to make league/competitive maps for that kind of size.
