Nice work on the client LeCom, Found some weird glitches with the HMG, but doesn't report anything in the crash log, so heres a video. http://youtu.be/oBkZagIy2NY

Sometimes if I reload a HMG it puts this line on the end of the log:
"Received sigsegv (crash); Voxlap CPU code: 0"

Alright just finished a complete soundpack for VXW. Click me for the link.

The page linked allows you to individually download sounds if you wish, or just download the .zip if you want the whole thing.

Install Instructions (perhaps someone has never navigated to the sound files):

1. Extract the .zip if you've got one
2. Delete the old files in VXW/Ressources/Default/WAV
3. Replace those files with your new ones

v.2.0 coming whenever more weapons are added, also need to fix how some sounds are barely truncated..

A note to LeCom: I think the fall sound would work better if it was played just before you hit the ground. Maybe have a separate sound for jumping?

I'm sure that you could separate your mod as a new folder, and direct config.ini to it. Say, 'Driskull's Better Sound pack'.

@Jet-stream: I was hurrying, and released a fully bugged version without noticing at first, sorry. I uploaded a fixed version a day later. Just redownload vxw, and rifle + hmg sounds will be fixed.

@bloodfox: It's better for the atmosphere.

@Driskull: Is there really a delay between the falling and the sound? I don't hear one.

Hmm, I suppose so. If I had a folder called Driskull's Better Sound Pack it would have to contain all the game's resources in addition to the ones I modified, right? Its not like I can list the Default folder as well as just the part I want to change :/

However, its good to use that method in case I for some reason wanted to switch between them. I guess I'll do it that way next time when I try to replace the rest of the game's assets along with my soundpack.

Lecom, its not that the sound is delayed, but I think as you jump you should hear a bit of a shuffling sound (like the one in my soundpack), and there shouldn't be a sound as you've hit the ground unless you've fallen from a great height.

arctic north is probably jumping up and down right now. expect a pm from him in this week expressing his joy. oh, and for the note part, just ad a split second of empty space before the fall effect. lecom wants everything for the game as crappy as possible, so people are encouraged to mod it. pretty stupid sounding, I know. it works though.
