If you use your perceptive abilities, it might become evident that the clan scene in this community is dying, quite plainly. I realized that my clan was only alive and running (well) solely on my efforts, and that if ever I decided to stop, or give up, the whole clan would collapse. And that I was not the only one; all clans are much weaker than what their potentials might have been a year or so back.
In short, we realized that
-Ohh, which only had about (less than) a little under ten players still remotely active
-GP which had little future, and
-Sirs & Ladies, which could not do well at a point in the community where little can happen successfully (other than "trolling" or being a ten year old yoloswagger)
had only one choice if we wanted to continue as a strong band of friends and players; merge.
The reason a portion of members did not realize the merge would happen, and will show up in a month or so clueless about everything, is not so much because any leaders were negligent, selfish, or hasty, but because inactivity and lack of communication was an issue large enough to stop some from knowing about, or acting with the change.
We spoke about the merge nearly a week before it was publicly announced; it seemed to you like an instant, heat-of-the moment decision, which it certainly was the opposite of. In the meantime, we told as many as possible about it, even those who pretend to be clueless got PM's, and we began making plans and organizing things (IRC, skype, art, website etc.) as thoroughly as possible with some leaders on vacation, others busy etc. Some members who were active helped us out, and one (shywolf) became a council member.
To those of you who treat everything as if your perceptions and assumptions are perfect, perhaps try to understand things a little deeper. Vomiting a steady flow of words does not help anyone.
I am sure Reuben will read this and take outright offense, thinking this was aimed for him, since I quoted him, but it is aimed to anyone, not necessarily Reuben, who decides to judge things without the information. Opinions are fine, judgements are foolish.
