Anyone Else Missing Classicgen Servers?

Wow... I haven't been here for a long time. The last session I logged in must have at least been five months ago... maybe more...

Anyway, I'm back... maybe. If the community doesn't kick the bucket.

But on to my main point: Anyone missing classicgen? You know, the traditional rolling hills and rivers that really gave AoS it's original image? I can't find any servers with it. Or, at least, when I do they are empty. I remember, not long before I quit BnS (until now I guess) I had a really great match on a server with classicgen. It was loads of fun - we built a massive fort and the blue team tried to tear it down!

Much more fun that jagex's 'demolition mode'

Anyone else missing classicgen? It's a shame people seem to be more into (as good as they are) maps like pinpoint and anticbridge, which I feel don't entirely provide the gameplay Ace of Spades was designed for. I wouldn't be complaining if there were full, classic gen servers as well as these highly customized ones.

Yeah, whenever I want to play classicgen the servers for it are all empty. Kinda disappointing, it is a hell of a fun map.

It really is disappointing that classicgen servers are always empty. I think walking distance and time used up by sprinting to where you want to be is a major factor. People now want instant action which is fairly common in shooters nowadays. So if you want a busy server, you want tight and simple maps. Maps like pinpoint and anticbridge are just to name a few.

I miss it alot. As Teeth said, most of the maps provide fast action, wich is what most people want. I find the awesome slow combat of classgen more enjoyable.

I don't miss classicgen tbh, much better map (person?) is random gen in all attributes.

Classicgen is fun when the servers full. It's the map I first played on and I loved it. I'd definitely join if you set the event up.
