aaa hi hello

I kind of underestimated just how much work my final school year would entail so I think we can put this on hold for a while, I do have an alternative idea though.

I could run a civilisation thread with a premade map, organised by a large amount of grid squares. The civ would start a small group of nomadic people in a strange land full of different cities, races, factions and biomes. The goal is initially to survive, and then build up your city/village/whatever, eventually becoming the dominant empire in the land. I saw a few threads like this on 4chan/reddit and they always looked pretty cool, the input of time doesn't seem so great for each post either (maybe 15 minutes).
If the map was organised by grid squares say 30/40 wide by 50/60 long I think this could work out pretty neat. Grid squares would of course be applied after I make the terrain and layout of the map, at which point I'd add minor details like non-player cities and landmarks etc. so they don't overlap two squares. Decisions and risks such as battles, hunting trips can be decided by dice roll or random.org where applicable. You'd start with only your village visible much like age of empires and then grow when you explore, revealing the 'fog of war'. Thoughts?

It would be perfect to just delete your account, cause nothing useful is going to be posted by it.
