landmines and barbed wire would do the trick for me, I'd love making traps in the enterance of my sniper posts.

and I'd like it if long grass were added to the game. It would add another element of stealth.

I also disagree about the SMG. IF it is kept in the game, I think it should have less damage(something around 45-30-20) at close range and suffer a brutal drop-off at long range(something like 25-17-13) while always having perfect accuracy like the Rifle. Or we could just remove an SMG altogether and add a HMG as the game's automatic weapon.
The shotgun can be used at medium range if you do it right. Yes there could be some changes to its effectiveness. As for the SMG, a fully automatic weapon is going to have some spread after close/medium range and yes damage should be reduced after medium range .
The shotgun can be used at medium range if you have luck. Even at close range it fails to kill the enemy 1/5 of the time. It is definitively a fun weapon to use and can be effective if you are lucky and attack the enemy from behind, but you could just as well take the rifle and one-shot the head that is 1/3 of the body AND a OHK 100% of the time.
About the SMG, IMO it should be simply for the sake of balance. A big drop-off(and recoil, if needed) would more than compensate for the lack of spread.

This is probably a phenomenally horrendous idea, but I think the game could do with some high explosives. Not anything that could be thrown, mind you. Rather, a block of C4 or something similar that could be affixed to a block and detonated remotely.
I'd suggest making it so that you would need to be very close to the block you're planting it on, and have it take a little while to set. Maybe 4-5 seconds. I'm not to sure of the explosion radius. Definitely larger than a grenade.

Like I said, probably a bad idea. But it seems like it would be useful for traps, and destroying enemy structures.

I think it could work well if it was more of a demolition charge or breaching charge instead of a anti-personnel bomb.

Yes. I think it is doable to have a sapper class that has maybe 1 or 2 exploding blocks in lieu of building blocks. Give 'em a spade and a pistol.....and watch the mayem unfold in Babel.

To the people saying "Bolt-Action Rifle", its not needed. At all. The SMG wasnt needed either. Shotty was (somewhat) needed for the trench warfare style gameplay.

On topic: None. Game just needs better balancing.

Something that has well... More destructive power than a grenade. Mortars sounds like a choice.

C4 (with ability to disarm) or mortar is fine if blocks become a lot harder to destroy.
