Banned for thinking that american soldiers (fully equipped with bullet-resistant jackets and automatic weapons vs civilian firearms, such as rifles and semi-auto weapons, as well as the sheer amount of resources they have, such as vehicals) could be outdone by overzealous civilians, calling themselves "Self-righteous" and "doing it for the good of the country," who, as I explained before, would regret their decisions.

That implies that all of those 82 million gun owners(which are actually 44 million, if an article I read last month is right) would actually have the intentions, means or will to fight the government at all.
Also, the soldiers have tanks, jets, attack helicopters, IFVs, etc.


I doubt it there would actually be infighting in the first place. Take it from someone with an outsider's view, but I suspect the US has way too big of a "we are all a single united country" for people to suddendly go nuts and start Civil War: Episode Two. There would need to be a really big and serious reason for that to start in the first place.
