What I see going wrong with the game's Arena community now is that they're playing a game that has many more game modes than just that Arena/TDM stuff that they're used to.

Don't get where I'm coming from? The annoying BRs/COD players who originally start off in Arena may eventually find out that there's more gamemodes out there that aren't taken from COD.

Then comes the next annoying phase: they move to these gamemodes (which most of the old community play) without knowing how to do anything that doesn't involve camping/SMG/grenade spamming/rushing like they did in Arena.

This is where the death of the game comes into play: them all going on with their old rushing ways will drive the experienced players away, and the game will become a big clusterfuck of morons if nothing is done, which will make it even more repulsive.

The way it is now, Arena is both a push-and-pull factor; it pulls in more of the idiots, and in turn pushes away many of the people who are still trying to get fun out of the game.
This is one giant slippery slope.

I don't believe a slippery slope argument is fallacious when you can plainly see its effects. We're currently in the second phase, but I could see us slipping into the third phase very easily.

Nah, people have been playing CTF as TDM long before Arena was ever a thing.

Yeah, when I first started playing Aos. No one cared about the Intel. I didn't start seeing Intel as a legitimate objective till I started playing in the league. And now that I don't play league, It is less of a must do. Now some matches yes, people cap Intel. But not generally. And if they do They're really slow about it.

Your argument is really one sided. Isn't it possible for them to realize that there are other game modes. Then play that like they would Arena, realize that they don't have to, play that game mode in a non arena game play?

The problem with having people switch over to a better version or better maps or modes is that they don't participate in the community. Their just off hosting a server and playing the game but not really visiting the site and understanding there's a problem. I just know very little server hosts that come here. The rest are just out there. So there isn't a good communication between the players and the admins to understand each other.

World wars got 76% of the vote.
It is a sign to switch to 0.76.

The difference between 0.75 and 0.76 is balance tweaks, not general theme.
God Lincent, please, for the love of God, think.

There is something I just realized it really stupid. The only reason why .75 is in existence anyways it because .76 wasn't pushed the way it was supposed to be. If they would have pushed it like a fucking new version, no one would be ON .75. It's obvious that there was a choice, and no one chose .76 until it seems like recently. Even now, i BnS really wanted to, they could drop .75 and there would be no type of ruckus. What ruckus would there to be made? "OMG PUT BACK .75 EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE OLDER VERSION BUT I LIKED IT ANYWAY EVEN THOUGH ALL MY FAVORITE SERVERS ALREADY MOVED TO .76 OMG!1!!!1!"

lolno.

If .75 was dropped from the master list, im 99.999999% sure that everyone would follow, as someone quitting a game because it has updated would be every game in existence would be dead right now.

The thing with that is, 0.76 originally existed as a pre-release version distributed in IRC for testing. I remember getting the first few versions and seeing some bugs removed and Ben making the text super-huge at some point for some reason. It never got the full release and server list refresh because Jagex wouldn't give him the go-ahead to release a new beta version, they wanted him working solely on their game, which was announced over a year after 0.75's release.
