Also, shouldnt I have received 12 terrs, from the sea expansion bonus?

No because the limit of territory gain via sea expansion (and conquest via sea) is 10.

coal.=coalition, and the number after x indicates how many fragments of the country are taking part in the battle. Coal.x2 vs coal.x3 means 2 fragments are fighting 3 fragments. According to the rules, each fragment of the country in a battle counts as a coalition partner. For example, right now your 2 fragments (the bigger one and the single tile in Will's territory) are touching his 2 fragments (since you've split Will into 2 parts). Also, with each member in the coalition the total battle score gets reduced by 10%. That means
Also don't forget that the party in the minority (in this case, 2 fragments of Will) gains 2 bonus battle xp after the battle in addition to the normal 1 battle xp. If you look at the map from last turn you'll see that there were 3 fragments of you versus his 2.
Another example is GGE and your area in Ukraine. He's just split you into 2 fragments, meaning next turn your 2 fragments will attack his 1 fragment in a battle and he'll get the 2 bonus battle xp.
