Besides that, i think this is completely needless and some of the "features" seem more like a cheat ("Your screen no longer bobs while sprinting." "Grenade explosions don't shake your screen anymore."). Why not contribute to the original Open Spades instead?
I guess this had to happen sooner or later and now i really can't wait for all the clans to fork their own super pro shit versions of Open Spades.
Those aren't really a cheat, since the Voxlap clients do the same thing on their own.
And if you think it's needless, then don't download it.

probably

don't care, as i said i'm making it because i want it

putting OS users back on even ground with voxlap users isn't cheating in my book
Why not contribute to the original Open Spades instead?
i like doing my own thing. it's a personal project that i'm choosing to share with whoever else wants to use it.

Can you pleasse add the new sound system as a ticket to the official OS github? That's a brilliant thing you did, and it seriously needs to be in every client.
If you want to laugh your ass of at Jdrew Irony, open this.

OpenSpades intends to break away from voxlap clients eventually, everyone needs to be on the same client for a fair playing field. This would allow cool things like being able to see other player's flashlights which would make the gameplay richer.
The new sound engine in OpenSpades is a huge improvement and gets rid of the absurd ability to hear and precisely locate people digging deep underground from 100m away which makes stealth almost impossible. Going back to the original sound system makes about as much sense as making players visible through blocks when looking down from above "because that's what voxlap did", not because it makes any sense or improves gameplay.

Source plox.
If you don't like the client feel free to not use it. This client is aimed at putting voxlap and OS users on an even pegging for the time being, reducing overall lag produced by certain futures and generally making previous voxlap users more comfortable with a switch to OS - I'm one of them. When and if OpenSpades becomes a standalone, of course we're not going to have multiple clients that allow for some users to have what you might consider 'special abilities' and others not, save for how much the game can be modded as far as sights, sounds, and models are concerned. I don't know how you can take issue with something that hasn't eventuated.

It's necessary for the code to be available on request. It doesn't have to be publicly advertised as to where it is.
And yeah, as has been said, they're not cheats, considering the original voxlap client doesn't have those things anyway.
