In America kids mow lawns, shovel driveways, and wash cars to earn money. Back in my old turn a person usually earns $20 per yard. So if a video card is roughly $150 that person would have to mow seven yards to get to $140 then do work around his or her house to earn the $10. If that said person mows one lawn a day it would take him one week to earn a video card. Though this is America we are talking about

Who says kids need 150 $ graficcards or 500 $ pcs ?? You can buy either new low end stuff, computers
that are a few years old but should be still good enough for you or you buy a pc completely on your own. There are enough tutorials in the internet.
For the germans, this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iWA--BN74w has a nice tutorial how to build one on your own and releases every 2 months new configuration suggestions. For example a 300 € pc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyHbWMZ5eS8.

Those complaining about not having a serverlist just for Openspades servers because "we can't runz", isn't really an excuse.
No one is saying at all to get rid of the voxlap version, it'll just be supported along with the Openspades servers. The reason we need separate Openspades servers are because playing someone who is on the voxlap version with OS, is very unbalanced. If we can switch this to servers that only have OS players, this will become a lot easier.

Simply join the Openspades servers at a later point when you can join. No one is taking what you currently play on away from you.

Remember OpenSpades is now a method to gain a new playerbase, which gives us the possibility to also introduce them to the beta version/voxlap Ace of Spades. This will help this community revitalize in general.

I don't think it splits the community into anything. Especially if you leave the option to connect via voxlap versions. Right now playing Openspades is broken, just because there's the only option to play with those using voxlap, therefore there's an unbalanced gameplay problem.

If Openspades is split with extended protocol with an Openspades only server list, you'll see this community slowly grow again. More possibilities, more interest.
