Salutation one and all!
I'm new to the forum but originally played Ace Of Spades back in early 2012. I've recently started playing again and have been using the modded client "Openspades". It's fantastic and the new sounds, enhanced graphics are brilliant and overall improves my whole gaming experience.. but I've recently noticed how god awful the rifle's accuracy is while using this client, I switched back to the original Ace Of Spades client to confirm this and the accuracy was a lot better than it was in "Openspades".
Just wondering if anyone else noticed this?

Oddly enough, I find os accuracy better than the normal client and most of the times play better with it.

If you're referring to 0.0.95u, then I'd have to agree with you.
Here's some mods ^
if you're into that kinda thing.

I find it very inconsistent. Sometimes I'll get a headshot when I probably shouldn't have, other times I will aim perfectly at an unmoving enemy and miss five times. Disclaimer, I haven't tried OpenSpades 0.0.95u or whatever the newest version is.

I don't think it's so much the accuracy. I think it's mostly how responsive the physics are when moving. I've tried a range of different sensitivities but I just can't seem to find the same sharp movements to aim as in the voxlap version. I think this is probably one of the reasons the rifle feels inaccurate, however if this was fixed so aiming could become quicker/more sharper, then I think you wouldn't feel this any more.

It's probably the (seemingly unintended) mouse acceleration. Turning on VSync might help a bit.

Wait, OS has mouse acceleration? Gotta find a way to turn that off. However I don't think that's the problem, as I can aim directly at an unmoving head from a reasonable distance and miss 6 times.

It's not even normal acceleration, more like inconsistent sensitivity, probably tied to the framerate. Also some lag.
You're probably right:
https://github.com/yvt/openspades/issues/97
So the problem can be expected to disappear in the next release.
