Back on topic, the "server of the week" thing would be a good idea. What do you guys think?
The only problem with that is human incompetence and lazyness

Putting aside everything from earlier, I'd say it's a good idea, though the issue of who gets to decide the server of the week comes up.

Maby voted by the community and the candidates come from the clan leaders and important members of the community

The problem with that, as I have stated before, people will just vote for their friends/clans servers, regardless of it is actually a quality server.

Important people choose the candidates the rest of the community votes

Yeah, the only feasible solution I could see is a selected group of people who would make the decisions, and even then the matter of who would be in said group would probably be an issue for some.

How does that stop my point? Say one of the servers picked is owned by Icecream, all his buddies would vote for his server, even if it's no good.

Disclaimer; I am not trying to imply Icecream runs bad servers.

Extremely good point. Perhaps making people write a good paragraph about why they like it would help strain out most of the bias votes.

That's all you've been doing. Re-read your own posts and try reading them from the perspective of someone else who's not 100% assured that your word is law.
So by me trying to prove a point, and you trying to shoot it down/questioning it, and be trying to, I am saying my word is law. Nice logic. Besides, in the future, when someone is making a point, throwing in the little words you do like "melodramatic", and words with negative connotations attached, 9/10 they won't be willing to listen to you, just saying, they will just fight back.

Oh, also your entire post reeks of adorable little passive-aggressive jabs at me and some self-imagined level of superiority, might wanna check that before you hit Reply again.
Sounds like you were talking about yourself tbfh.

Another poke at me. You are getting worse at it.

I don't have authority, but dan does, and dan basically repeated my words.

Then why are you trying to bring this back up after being told not to?

I actually hoped for Iceball to catch some wind and become something that everyone would enjoy. I guess this community can split many ways, there is nothing wrong with that. Some people might actually like pinpoint and the SMG. Thats why I fell in love with the idea of a completely moddable game. I sure had fun with the .2-.3 AoS and regret nothing. There is so much programmer support in this community, maybe a new game will rise from the ashes, maybe completely different of the classic AoS. Only time will tell.

I seriously doubt any senior member would actually sit down and write a paragraph for this. Especially when they can just click over to server list, find a server and play. Your trying to draw members in. Not push them away with the promise of effort on their part. The only way for that server to work is too have an un biased senior party to rely on to make the decision. Which is pointless, Because, for one you would need senior members because, they have been through the most within BnS. Meaning they know more about what the community wants from this game. But that being said, They have more experience with this game. In the end they will be the most biased of all. No server is perfect. The senior members will always find a problem with a server. From past experience's or recent experiences. Now they could also choose the best out of the servers. But there's a large amount of players who aren't active on the forums. What about them? not to mention the fact that players will vote for there friends and claim to be unbiased. And who's to choose which version? The opinion vary on which version is better. Who's to decide that? which weighs more in decision making? The hundreds of newer players or the Old Farts?

I've been on the forums for maybe 4 months if that. In that time span everything that has happened has been because, moderators, admins, coders etc. Or everyone follows the same suit of the crowd. I don't think that BnS will be forced to change. Just rely on the senior members too do what's best for the community. They know what they're doing. If they didn't BnS wouldn't still be alive. Neither would AoS.
