League Final's Spectating.

A lot of the clans don't want too many teams spectating; too limit the amount of cheating, unless you're recording. But a lot of players want to at least spectate the final season match. What if we are in mumble, Admins present and speaking. Would it then be okay to spectate so that it's known you aren't cheating for another team?

If you are in lounge talking, I guess that it is fine then. But actually many people went into lounge, muted themselves and then used skype to communicate with certain teams. Personally, I wouldn't like too many spectators either.

No like you can't be muted. if you leave mumble your kicked from the game. If you don't speak, then don't answer when an admin speaks to you you are kicked. As in If I spectate AK v SPQR I'd have to be in mumble and speaking the hole time. I mean I know that we don't want cheaters. But people still want to watch while it's happening. Not just the trusted players. It's kind of middle ground for both sides. One side it allows cheating. The other players can't watch. Just offering options so both sides are happy.

This is something almost impossible to control, unfortunately we have to rely on the good sense of the teams, since it is possible you use other voice chat while the mumble.

Well, both Tin, Jdrew, both want no spectators other than admins and a few trusted. I just think it sucks that regular players can't watch. I get that people will record it and it'll be available for players to watch afterwards. It's always better during the match.
But I get what your saying. That really sucks. Escpecialy since Say an SPQR, AK member can't spectate their team playing.

Somnium, as easy as it is to ghost it's even harder to actually enforce legit parameters to stop it. The only thing we can try and enforce is a move from Skype to Mumble only and that way can see who is in what channel, even then they might all just be not using it and using skype instead, see?
However in regards to spectators for the finals, the teams have the right to request members from the opposing team to leave spectator if that makes them feel more comfortable about in game security. Nobody says you will be allowed to stay but I'm pretty sure but probably nobody will tell you to leave if all you want to do is watch and hang out.

I'd like to watch but I don't have a problem with leaving if Tin asks. It was more of a random players we don't really speak too wanting to watch. But yeah I get what y'all are saying. How would you even enforce a switch to mumble? I think more people would play with mumble if it was compatibly with Aos, the layout showing up in game, less laggy while both Aos and mumble are open, and what not. Are we gonna make a list of trusted player that can spectate? Other than admins obviously.

Actually using skype causes even more lag, Mumble is better for online gaming with a slight ping increase. The only fair way to allow you to spectate would be you being in first person spectator mode that allows you to spectate only your team (AK) + being in mumble lounge and actually talking to people. It may sound strict, but IMO it is the only way to prevent cheating.

Yeah. I get that. Sad thing is my mic is broke. I can speak but it's scratchy as hell, with a robot tone. I readjusted all my settings. And tested the mic out online. I have a setting wrong somewhere I think. Idk what's wrong with it.

Yeah, no, that's just paranoid BS.
Speak the whole time? So I need to sit there blathering nonsense for the entire match, as do all the other spectators, otherwise I'm considered cheating? No, that's ridiculous. I can understand not wanting members of the battling clans to spectate, that's understandable, and I certainly don't think you should be in their Mumble channel while spectating.
Either way, I plan on spectating and recording, and I might join Mumble and hang out in the lounge.

It's pretty much useless because if you get a guy to observe any cheating. They will have another way of communicating.

Yeah I might download a video recorder just to watch the matches lol. On a serious not. Some one should compile a video of all the matches with highlighted areas in each match. And have a season League 3 final video.
