There's nothing fun about rushing into a big plaza area and dying from an SMG spammer in 10 seconds, ESPECIALLY in a game like Ace of Spades, where building is an essential element. It's like playing fucking Hunger Games in Minecraft where you can't craft at all.

I watched a .21 video, and I teared up a bit... what ever happened to that teamwork, and actually being able to build something? What happened to there actually being a frontline of action? What happened to crazy maneuvers winning games? What happened to all of that? No matter how hard anyone tries, unless you round up 32 people yourself, the teamwork and building will be gone, even on classicgen, because honestly, all people do on there is run around and SMG spam. It's sad, really. When I first joined, the first map I ever played was on Assault2 (I think it was Assault2, at least) on CTF, with two of my friends. It took us a bit of digging and flanking, but I eventually got behind the enemy team (which half of them were using the rifle, not the SMG) and hardscoped all of them down from behind.
Nowadays, the most strategy I ever get from a game of babel/CTF is doing this, but HOPING an aimbot with an SMG doesn't come up in my face and SMG spam me to death.
