I don't necessarily care about servers. I want an entire game dedicated to this trench warfare kind of play.
Well, all the game really gives you are the tools to make what you want to... that's why you can have to completely different games in AoS... Hallway/Arena/Nuketown etc., and you can also have classicgen. Making a game accmodating only one would be pointless, as it can be VERY easy to accomodate both.

If there is every someone making a game like this. They need it so that you can fully customize the players skin. Like the ones now you can change it but their similar but one has some blue and the other has some green.

I think a good idea would be different skins for different teams, would be very cool.

Isn't learn_more already making that for his modloader? For the basic client I mean.

But this is for Openspades, not normal client.

I think he should try to get it on here also.

BTW, I came up with an idea.

Cinder Blocks?

Blocks that can handle more damage than usual blocks, only downside is you have to give up one of your slots to have it, and you only spawn with 25. Or something like that, what do you guys think? I honestly think it would suck if you made an awesome fort, and goes down as easy as I see some go down these days with the SMG spammers.

TBH I'd prefer blocks and building just the way they are.

Oh, I see.

Well, other than that, anyone else have any ideas? Or should I start to compile this thread?

When I think about new versions of OpenSpades, I'm not at all envisioning grand sweeping changes. AoS .75 / .76 is an amazing game, partially due to its simplicity. Three guns, available to ALL players at ANY skill level. This keeps the game as a skill game rather than a grinding game (BF, CoD). That's what really drew me into AoS. Yeah, I sucked at first, but I knew that the other players had the same tools as I did, just more practice. Games like Battlefield frustrate me sometimes because I know I might be just as good as the guy who just killed me, but he has the MLG Pr0 Lv50 Assault Rifle z0mg! This isn't to say I don't like Battlefield (cause I love it), but I don't wanna see AoS turn into it.

tl;dr: Please no loadouts, rocket launchers, vehicles, or any of that crap. Simple adjustments like better sights, less fog and graphical improvements would be much better.

I agree, .75/.76 was great because of it's simplicity, I don't think there should me lots of stuff added and turn it into another game, I just think stuff should be improved.

Wouldn't it be better if we put stuff in one update at a time? So we can tell when things are getting to be too much? This way, when the game is nearing complication, we can just stop and improve things, instead of just dropping them all in at once.
