Guys... I have to ask something. Sorry if this is dumb but I don't get out how to run iceball on my Windows Vista 32Bit... I have read the READ_ME.txt file, the READ_THIS_FIRST.txt file and the stderr.txt file but I still don't get it :O

EDIT: And is there a official server list yet?

Considering there is only one server (that I know of), there's not really a need for a server list yet. Run connect-rakiru.bat to join the server, as it says in the read me.

Here are some bleep-bloop game sounds I made in Milkytracker, use them if you like: http://ompldr.org/vZ3hyZQ/sounds.zip
mach1ne, are you OK with your assets being released under Creative Commons 3.0 By-Attribution Share-Alike? If so, I'll add them in at least for now.

Also, the sounds we actually need are the sounds that aren't listed here.

Working on some reflowable layout. This is the part that makes it "Better Than Flash" because it will figure out some details of positioning for you.

Somewhat more on-topic, is there a way to make Norton not have a heart attack every time I run this?
Get Microsoft Security Essentials, and save a metric shit-tonne of money by using a free, professional antivirus that doesn't go into cardiac arrest whenever you open a safe file. Norton sucks by the way, most "pay for computer antivirus lol wtf" programs do, they go all touchy and sensitive, I once got kicked out of even opening my browser because my antivirus was too stupid to tell the difference between the internet and a dangerous file.

Okay, done hating on Norton now onto other stuff.
I said I was going to read that python e-book... I did (about 2 chapters so far) and I am proud to say I can make something that looks like a worm in the output of the python GUI. This amazing bombshell means I am exactly 0.2% closer to helping code or to even begin coding any of the server mods using python... unless you want a mod that displays a very fast moving grid-worm... because I don't know anything close to the wait() function in python (they have wait() in Lua... or was I just using an API on the game I was coding for?... I'm stupid :3)

So... tl;dr
I KNOW NOTHING :D

Also, somewhat on-topic: I'm looking forward to see some super sexy GUI from our friend triplefox, and the other guy working on GUI (I forgot his name ._.) <3

Bully, there will never ever be an SMG in this game. Shotgun might come at some stage, but it won't be in the 0.1 release.
Grenade exploding would be much appreciated, though :)

TDuffin,
Code: Select all
import time
time.sleep(0.1) # sleep for 0.1 seconds
Also the API I've supplied for the Lua side doesn't have a proper "wait", it has a "tick" hook that gets called and tells you the current time and the time since the last call in seconds.

What about a heavy machine gun that you would have to place? It would set up on a bipod or a tripod, and would be good at holding choke points, etc. Perhaps it may take two people to work it, one to load the bullets, and one to shoot? Might promote teamwork, or it might make it pointless.

If you want sounds, search here, some of them are great.
(You need to register, but it's worth).
