Do you guys think it's time to create the new BuildAndShoot?

The original, free Ace of Spades game powered by the Voxlap engine. Known as “Classic,” 0.75, 0.76, and all 0.x versions. Created by Ben Aksoy.

I was talking about advertisements because most games pay for ads to get there game more well know. Back then I don't think we payed for ads so thats why I said we didn't need money when ben was around.
Wut ish logic?

Nah man, websites host themselves free of charge. Yours does, right?

Well, quoted from jdrew, "We didn't need money when Ben was around."
"quoted from jdrew" should just about sum that up. Yes, you do need money to host a (decent) website and run (decent) servers. Maybe he, as the village idiot, didn't need money to get that done, but someone still had to pay for it.
.
have you even seen his site yet? He did it from scratch!

12-10-13 22:20:30 [Services] [INFO]: [#buildandshoot] <Jdrew> had to do everything by hand
Honestly, how do people not take that guy seriously when he can make THAT from scratch!

Yes, that would be where that link leads to. Wait, is this still part of that social experiment? Because let me say, you're quite the convincing idiot.

I understand that, but unless everyone is convinced on moving forward, we will be stuck in the same place... You see how around half of the posts on this thread are about the website? It's obvious no one is serious about the community moving forward, even though we all see it dying. WE HAVE to do something about it before there is NO Buildandshoot to move forward. Jesus Christ, can't we all get serious and try to move along?!

When Openspades inevitably breaks off and becomes its own thing, BnS will go with it.

If that is the case, then why sin't there more attention paid to it? I've taken a secret survey, by saying "The World looks amazing in OpenSpades" on servers lately, and most if not all responses have been, "I wish I could use it", or "OpenSpades is bad for BnS, because its trying to alienate a part of the community"
I agree we will move with Openspades, but everyone has to like it first... and lets not forget about Iceball.

P.S Is Iceball In Voxlap?

People change, games change.

When people say "Oh, it was so good in 2012", well, that is a good point because it was better, but why was it so? It was because of us. Game is the same, but we have changed and our perspectives about the community as a whole. In my opinion, buildandshoot should try to motivate and get back the "veterans". By veterans I mean the people before b&s and people that affected the previous community. Also, people are too lazy to do things, and it's a chain reaction - when one gives up, others will passively follow. I can feel it myself that I don't have that spark anymore, the spark that made me excited about playing matches, about playing this game. It's gone. It's for the most of people I know. Clans are dead = game is dead. That's just one of the problems that community has. We need something major. No one wants to play same things for years, without any hope of change and/or progress.

Many of you will jugulate me for this, but I think that this game needs a reboot. By reboot I mean to make a new version, and get a new name to be completely independent from Jagex (I'm not sure how legal stuff works, so I won't talk much about it). Make a massive change in it, make something that we can't even think of. Create a forum only for ideas that will be posted in and gathered by motivated people. I would post my vision of it, but it obviously won't be initiated. Like this, game won't last for long, at least not for me, I don't know how the others feel. IMO the key of keeping a game alive is to maintain that spark in players that makes them truly want to play that game.

I've always liked new starts if they were able to ignite my spark.

The whole stagnant game thing is indeed an issue, though it's not one that I see needs changing. Like I said earlier in another topic, this site is perfectly capable of supporting AoS, Iceball, and OpenSpades, and trying to shoehorn everyone into the one you prefer and telling the ones who prefer the others to take a hike or get with the program is selfish.

Yeah, that sounds more like a shoddy attempt at viral marketing than anything else.

And you're not gonna get everyone. Some people still like .76, some prefer to play the same damn game with OpenSpade, and some like Iceball. Just let everyone do their thing and play what they want, all of you "revolutionary" types are really just being overly dramatic and trying to create a problem where there isn't one.
