I'm starting this now for 2 reasons:
Theres a starters guide
I've seen too many noobs votekick players for "Hacking"

Requirments
WHAT THE WEAPONS ARE FOR(ex: Shotgun = short distance)
A properly put on brain

Tunneling:
Tunneling is one of the best strategies today, and also one of the that noone seems to use anymore.
First, instead of using the faster left click button, use the right. It makes less sound, and it makes the tunnel 3 high, making it easier to get through and faster. Also, add turns and twists so its harder to catch you if you have the intel.

Enemy Griefing:
Enemy Griefing is where you use guns and other items to destroy their base. If their base is on a diggable surface, tunnel under the walls and remove it from there, instead of on top. The best weapon to destroy their base is the SMG. If people are griefing YOU, fix the walls fast before the last block is destroyed connecting it to the ground.

Multiple block placing
Hold down the right mouse button with the block equipped and drag to the distance you want.

Team Griefer defense
If someone on you team is griefer your base, try to get a block on their head. Then use blocks to cover there body. It will put them in a glitch state, nad they cant move or destroy. To get out of one if your blocked, hold the grenade until it self destructs

Camping
Camping is a technique many users dont do properly. The first part is simple; sit in one place and wait for people to come up. But if someone does good damage, quickly dig down and use e to pick the block color. Place it over you head.

More techniques can be added

All thet techniques are nown "ages ago" . But you should tell something about building for the newcommers. Like :
2 Block high wall. Very easy builded pretty good cover Doenst need to much block for making it . Cons. It doesnt protects from higher placed enemies , enemy can use it , hard to come to it cause enemy will kill you over it wille you coming , enemy granades are a problem , and so on...

I've seen a frequent argument about which wall is better.

3-high walls: protects from enemy fire if you sprint, but you can't shoot over it without jumping.
2-high walls: allows crouchspam shooting, but vulnurable to enemy fire while charging

Image
3-high walls with 1 block ledge behind it: safe while charging and you can still crouchspam once standing on the ledge.

This was helpful I never knew about the e key to match colors or the right click digging.

team digging:
If you can communicate with a teammate, try digging together using the rmb, both of you at the same time, same tunnel, very quick.

babel:
quick stairs:
holdlmb, strafe looking down, jump, strafe... it takes practice until the motion is fluid, but very quick way to make a stairs.

supporting pillar:
build a pillar in front of you three blocks high, hold lmb and jump looking straight in front - block gets placed, look under your feet and jump, look in front and jump...
this way you are shielded from snipers in front, make the pillar support something.

support stairs!:
each time you go up the stairs to defend them by sniping approaching enemies, rmb at the base and drag a line of blocks up.

pillar v2.0: pillar 8 blocks uder yourself, strafe one, eight up... if you manage to get intel, you can slowly jump down the stairs and survive, mostly useless, maybe while few players or when everyone pillars without thoughts about how to get down.

it sucks, but the fact is that if you push a lot at the beginning of a round and press other team a lot and camp near base and so on, your team will get few of those cowardly players that leave loosing teams and the balance will get tipped to your advanage. It sucks, but it is a fact.
But remember that if you push too much, the other team will abandon building and push back and it will mostly turn the match into a stalemate.

do not attempt to build a stairs just one block strong all the way up. Griefed in a second, useless.
do not support stairs by building rows of only diagonally neighboring blocks. There is still only one block supporting the thing and you can see from downstairs.

Best cover:

Image

Wider, the better. Allows you to hide whenever you need to airstrike. Thick enough to prevent smg spammers from destroying your cover. Forces you to crouch for a better aim. Griefers won't bother because it's low-lying.

Or...

Yeah...
I'd say having only a 1 block wide ledge would be better. Not only is it cheaper/quicker, it allows you to quickly step backwards off of it should you come under heavy fire and need to hide.

I frequently find myself falling off the ledge when aiming because I strafe from left and right. I kinda got used to it...
Also, I just noticed from my first design, you wouldn't be able to fire while crouching...

Hey!
I know some techniques...

There IS a way to continue sprinting after jumping, although hard to master. (I usually call this bunnyhop)
In AoS, after you sprint-jump you stop sprint for about a second right? Well every second counts on the field.
First, you have to sprint-jump, then hit sprint button the moment you ALMOST touch the ground (You need VERY FAST reflex)

Another, is a sort of kamikaze technique advanced players know.
First switch to grenade
Hold shoot button while sprinting
Get close to enemies, then you will kill yourself and fatally harm the enemies (far enemies get damage, close enemies get killed).
Very useful in enemy bases, can also damage buildings (not very effective tho)

That's all I can share for now...

OR:
Release the sprint key just before you go up a block, and press it again once you're up the one block you were running over, requires less effort and does the same thing as sprint jumping, the game will let you climb a block so long as the sprint key isnt being pressed, so even if you are still technically sprint, as long as the key is released, you will climb blocks like normal.

For the topic:
I guess people should hold down V or crouch more often in order to keep quiet while hunting enemies in secluded areas of the map. This should stop you from being spotted, I've caught many enemies just by listening for their footsteps because they think they're all alone.

Also, for the love of god, if you cant see an enemy but know they're behind a piece of cover, suppress them for your teammates, an SMG will obliterate cover if you fire it accurately! Get a few guys on mumble or teamspeak (or even just the in-game chat) and time it so that all of you fire at the same blocks simultaneously. it's scary to be at the receiving end of, and it will end up with the complete annihilation of the cover/building your enemy was behind, allowing the team to move up and get into cover before the enemies return. Cover fire is a great way to move up in game modes like babel, push and ctf (even TOW, but no one plays on Aloha's tug of war server anymore Green_Crying )

Shotguns can be used as an "infinite ammo" weapon; when the ammo runs out, mash the reload key and hold down the fire button, and the reload speed is just fast enough to allow the shotty to fire at around the same speed as it does normally. Using this technique you can fire all 50-something rounds from the shotgun practically without stopping! It can get picked up as a hack on some servers, so don't use it unless you run out of ammo versus players at close range- if you're safe to reload, reload.

Run at objectives with multiple teammates from multiple directions, enemies cant kill you all off if you run at the intel as a group.

Dump grenades over walls before you run through them, if you don't know whether enemies are behind them (best used in bases that aren't yours)

Bury enemy tents if possible, if they're covered it may buy you valuable time when you're chasing an intel carrier or someone attacking a tent (or running for one)

Lol, when I go afk, I always dig down 4 blocks with rmb, jump down into the hole, and sample-place a block above me...
I even sometimes do this at spawn to preserve my ratio, in case that the opposite team is storming us. Green_Wink1
