I liked SAO for the theme but the romance was a bit too much. I prefer action so Attack on titan was really great for me. yet since that's done I don't know what to watch. I watched all the SAO type animes like accel world,btoom, and control: the possibility of something.

I actually rather prefer the building of romance and relationships between characters. It gives depth. I the example of SAO, it was driven by romance. Without romance, SAO wouldn't have a story.

My problem with the romance in most anime I watch is that they all seem the same. They get boring for me and SAO was no exception.

Watch Cat Shit One(if that's considered an Anime). It's Call of Duty cept with Bunnies n stuff. There's only 1 Episode so you could try reading the manga as well.

Code Geass

Code Geass is an anime and manga made by Sunrise studios. Those are the same people that brought us the gundum series but mecha is not the main strong point of the series. Instead it is the drama and situations the characters go through to obtain their goals that makes it so good.

The story follows Lelouch who is a britantian prince sent to Japan with his sister. One day he goes to the gehto after being trapped in a truck full of terrorists. After a mix up he is given the power of geass. This power lets him control people but he needs eye contact and can only use it on a person once. After stealing a military Nightmare(mech) he finds a rebel walkie talkie. he uses it to communicate with them and help him win the battle.

After that he starts working with the rebels and forms a terrorist organization known as the black Knights. With his power of geass they work to overthrow the holy Britannian empire and find out who killed his sister and causes his sister to be blinded and paralyzed from the waste down. Lelouch is also a master strategist and enjoys playing chess.

The series consists of two seasons. I watched the first season up to episode 17 and then finished the second season. In my opinion the ending is paramount with animes but to my surprise code geass has one of the best endings I have seen yet. Its plot,drama and action rival death note. Although the action could have been better the anime has a lot of "didn't see that coming" moments and the drama makes it feel like a mystery movie at times. I loved code geass, FWI the one of the actors from the dub plays ben 10.
