Except that at higher levels of play rifle was the only weapon worth using, shotgun was a joke weapon, and smg is a weapon more catered to people likely to miss their shots(or constantly find themselves with like 20 people just lined up. Which isnt likely at all). The weapon balance was and is horrible. I made a thread about this forever ago, shotgun is probably the only balanced weapon(although it still needs work. Like a lot of work), everything else is just broken if were trying to make a game with 3 balanced weapons.

Sorry, but how is the rifle better in .75?
Just going to take a wild guess here, but probably because the rifle's rate-of-fire and mag capacity were nerfed in 0.76. But its accuracy got a well-needed buff. The rifle's accuracy in 0.75 is a joke.

This discussion has gone on for so long, I'm starting to hate both versions. They both just seem so boring to me now. Even though the smg has been "nerfed", I don't see any difference between the two besides the rifle accuracy and less hackers.

I know, I was sort of hoping iceball would change that. But it didn't quite go that way.
I think we should rather move to 0.76 would be the next official release of the game, yet has no hack "public" and is much more realistic (not being able to place blocks during charging and the little "pause" between the shots do not exist in 0.75), but actually what is killing the community is the fact that no one make a decision soon, 0.75 is almost dead and 0.76 is not encouraged by those who should be, so people are between 0.75 and 0.76, it is very difficult to have to play with two versions, especially when it is much better (0.76).
Can't we just put our shit together, decompile the client, and make an 0.8? I mean, what's the worst that can happen? Jagex is not going to publicly execute us or anything, and considering their huge fail regarding AoS, I don't really think they truly care about this anymore.
We would need to make a new game useing no files from AOS.75/76. But with the player models n stuff if we remove 1 block technically we aren't useing their files .'Got you a biscuit
