I used to be able to play the game just fine before it went retail but now I can't join any servers at all.
I uninstalled it completely and reinstalled to no avail.
Added firewall exceptions, disabled the the firewall, all to no avail.
What's the deal? Do I need to add the new master server to any lists or anything? Any ports to open?
Can't join any servers!

If you are not hosting a server you do not need to worry about the master server. What error do you get exactly?

Just "Server Connection Failed"... this even happens on servers that are empty.

delete your settings file (graphics settings can cause this), and make sure you have write access to the place where you installed AoS.

Like I said, I've reinstalled it, as such everything is untouched save for my nickname.
And I don't have write access issues as this is XP and I'm the admin.

If you haven't actually looked at your config file, I'd double check it as window uninstallers are notorious about leaving files behind and I don't remember what AoS's does. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.

I use Revo Uninstaller, it removes pretty much all traces of the program it's uninstalling.
Thanks for the attempt though, I appreciate it.

If you can not connect to any of the servers..
Most likely it is a firewall problem, try reinstalling agin and messing with your firewalls. Also look for servers close to your location, hope this helps

I've tried adding firewall exceptions and turning it off entirely to no avail.

Sorry to bump but I was just wondering if there was any luck in getting a response?

Not using any server software at all? Just trying to join games through this site's server browser.
