The poster directly above me has literally no idea what he's talking about and is clearly new around here.

I'm not saying nothing is happening; things are happening. However, from my point of view, what is happening is unsustainable. What you're saying about things happening (events, leagues, clans) is nothing new. Nothing has changed on a grand scale and that is what is going to kill us here. The main, supported version has not been changed in almost two years. Putting Iceball in a newsletter and saying it's a good idea is not change. Making a global announcement and asking for peoples' opinions on changing it is a good start. Putting 0.76 (although I really don't want to consider 0.76 as change) as a game version in the serverlist and putting 0.75 in the same list with the label (POPULAR) is also not change; it only shows me that the admins might be indecisive or fearful of change. While the community might be trying to change, the admins ultimately are the ones who have the power to say "This is what the community is going to do" just by the very nature of their permissions over this site and also because of the authority we give to them. This is why action needs to come from them directly or the community as a whole needs to demand it.

One last thing:

No, we HAVEN'T gotten publicity from Jagex's game. We got publicity cause you can play the old game that Jagex RUINED.
I would bet you that most of the new players that we get are people who go to Jagex's Ace of Spades initially, see that it's crap, and find Build and Shoot through people there. Once Jagex shuts Ace of Spades down (which I bet they will not too long from now), where are our new players coming from?

That is true and would be a good start to attracting new players. However, we don't want to attract players to a game that is stagnant and rampant with cheaters. We want to advertise something new and exciting.

I agree that something new needs to be done, and I would venture to say that it takes more disclosure, the site is great, well organized, the forum also, but there are few players who continued playing after the official closing of the of 0.75 and the release 1.0.
I really like Ace of spades, especially of community, so if you are planning something and need help, can count on me.

Well that is why authing is happening. And I have said we are going to support OpenSpades with the launcher and authing. I imagine with OpenSpades it will eventually branch off and have it own pyspades branch too.

You need to talk to stack on its progress. Let him give you updates on its progress, we are trying to have it ready before we start our 1 year anniversary marketing plans.

There is no indecision we arent sitting on our hands, we have stated our plans several times. Any plans you or others come up with that revolves around the idea "I dont like this shut it down" isnt going to happen.

Again if you like something promote it.
