Do you feel like guns are blocking your sight?
Part of it is that, the rifle sight in particular is friggin HUGE (particularly the rear sights on the left and right side), bigger than some heavy weapon sights from other games. But its also I think there's hit detection issues. Actually I KNOW there is, sometimes I will shoot and know its a hit (you can agrue I'm a bad shot but still) and the guy wont go down from a headshot, and other times I will spew blood from being "shot" in my client, but my health wont go down. So there's Definitely hit detection issues to be dealt with.
Indeed there is. I tested it out myself by creating a private server for myself and running regular AoS and connecting to my own server. Then I joined with OpenSpades. Using OS, I got to a far distance (barely visible on the fog line) and shot multiple times at my AoS head. He was standing completely still ofc. It actually took many shots to get him down. I did this a few times and every time I would not get it in one shot. I would sit there aiming until it was absolutely perfect with his head but it never killed him in one hit.

Programming rights? It's open source, that means anyone can contribute something to it and it will probably not get you caught in jail
Also, you can study code... or just be patient and wait for the devs to fix the issues. I'd put a huge rant here about how you're actually some kid who lies about not being a little kid so he could be seen as mature but I'm too tired.
I complained about an issue so that the devs will know about it in the first place.
And Seriously... Me "a kid who lies about not being a little kid so he could be seen as mature"?
Sure I may have Anger Issues but that doesn't make a human being a "Little Kid"
I'm 16 and you literally need to go screw yourself, since all I did was report an Issue.
And all I the news/updates I got was someone telling me to stop whining/crying and fix it myself, yet it is an issue that conflicts with my experience! For Christ's sake! Blue_D'oh Green_D'oh
What else can I say? Sure I should have had a better approach or whatnot but that is all I can say to him.
Take note... We are Human, Not Perfect Individuals What else can I say if I only Reported an Issue then someone tells me to STFU and fix it myself?
Reporting is not a form of Crying your ass off.
It is a way to let Devs know that they got something to fix for their players.
Go ahead make a rant about me and my attitude, I don't care because I'm proud to say that I am human for I'm trying to think ahead on what else is wrong with me.
Since I am human, I learn from my mistakes and I try not to make the same mistakes ever again.
Enough of Life Value Talk...
Now lets get on with a few things that you seem to not understand in my terms....

About Programming Rights...
To let you know, I'm the kind of guy who lets the devs do the work, since I have no Idea how to Program this stuff, If I were to Program stuff myself, how can others get the exact same fixes like I do then? Sure I can share the Codes and stuff but I rather hand the programming and coding to the devs themselves, since they are the ones who made the whole thing to start with.
Heck, there are other players out there like me, who don't have any Idea how to program or patch issues themselves.
Whatever point you are trying to make about "Open Source". I get the point and all but I find it wrong to fix common game issues by myself, sure I can get a better experience and all but what about everyone else?
What if I did not have any Idea on how I fixed the issue?

If I were to fix it myself... there will be a lot of "What ifs" here and there, if the main dudes who made the game and have the knowledge on how to fix the issues that most players have, there will be less "What ifs".
Sure there are "What ifs" in their work as well, but When the devs do the fixing.
It is more likely that the issue will be fixed compared with someone else fixing it, since they are the ones who made the codes and such.

The way I look at it, it is like I have Issues with Battlefield 3's Hit Detection for example, then I report my problem. After that, a Dev Tells me to fix it myself, and (example only) I had some sort of Idea how to patch it myself, Then when I finally got it, I get the satisfaction I needed,Which I find unfair since I'm one of the very few who fixed the issue that everyone else is having. the reason: a Self Made Patch sometimes will cause conflicts to varying users of a specific game.
Like I said... It is simple as Sharing the code and all but, what if it won't work for everyone else??

Now for your Recommendation "just be patient and wait for the devs to fix the issues"
Why Would I not wait? I will not wait for anything if I have no problems to report about.
If I have an Issue, I report it and then I wait for it to be fixed on the next version of the game.

I may have Anger issues, but I still enjoy OpenSpades.
Sure the Hit Detection is one of the obstructions that try to keep me and some who have the same issue (since I saw a few other players complaining about the Hit Detection too) from enjoying OpenSpades, I will still continue to play it no matter what.
Heck I find my aim to be a lot better in OpenSpades compared with AoS since it feels more smooth on my rig.

Why would I ditch this game if it has gone this far? lol
Let's see if this Hit Detection stuff will finally be solved in a way...
Good day

YOu were reporting it, yes, but in a childish manner and complaining about the problem instead of offering good details of the situation it happened in. You are the guy that calls the IT dept and "report" that the "computer is not working anymore, fix it now".

ABout your Devs/Players dichotomy, if you were to fix the issue in the game I believe the dev would just give it a double-check to see if it does not introduce new bugs and then put it in the next version.

Now you tell me...
I stated in the post:
"Sorry if I sound a bit Childish here but this issue drove me nuts!"
I gave them a head-up just in case if I do sound childish in the way I report it.
The Issue drove me crazy, so what else can I do?
Sure I should have approached in a more calm manner and all but I had to report it ASAP.
And there is nothing wrong about my Computer, if that is what you are trying to point out in "computer is not working anymore, fix it now", I'm referring to the game itself...
At least it is not Full-on Childish since I've seen worse... Trust me, I know a more childish way to report lol!

I just hope whatever else is wrong with OpenSpades... will get fixed later on Blue_Happy3 Green_Happy3
I understand that it is still undergoing development.
I just have anger issues okay... That's why I end up looking a bit childish sometimes...
Got dem anger issues from my mother's side of the family, to let you know...

You could, you know, calm down and type in a calmer manner, giving more details and stuff.
The thing about the computer, that is an analogy. You are the typical office guy who just calls IT support and doesn't give any details, just say the computer is broken and it needs to be fixed, without offering any suggestions on how to fix it or what can be causing your problem.

I will try to be more specific and more calm next time.

Learning "Hello, World!" would require literally hundreds of times less effort than the embarrassing writing you showcased there.

Nobody asked you for an essay Shakespeare, just don't demand other people to do stuff you can do yourself, provided you don't want to look like a cunt convinced he's entitled to everything.

Okay Okay I get it! Blue_D'oh Green_D'oh
Can we just move along now? Whatever happened... It happened, there is no way to undo it.
Lastly I don't find it embarrassing for myself.
I actually Learned from that BS I've stirred up.
Vowing myself not to end up doing this crap again...
God why was I so pissed back then...

Alright, the only thing I would like and hope to see are these

1. Visible tracer rounds, both in game and on the mini-map

2. A better? or more functional crosshair than what is in the current version. Only reason for this is because it seems way too difficult to attack someone at range and successfully score a head shot.

3. The option of aiming down sight turning into an iron sight rather than a zoomed in cross-hair.

4. Honestly, not much more feedback I can give really, mostly because this is a excellent program and at this point it looks to need some minor adjustments before any new additions are added.

Just the clarify, it is actually hit detection issues I think. The client doesn't fully sink up with the server so sometimes your shots will miss anyway. Also sometimes if being shot at but narrowly missed you will squirt blood despite taking no damage. So there's a small hit detection problem, for sure.

2 - It is not the crosshair, it is the hit detection.

3 - You know it is impossible, right? The current models are not capable to do it, besides, it would took a better PC to make it functionally.

Actually, minimap tracers aren't included currently.

You do realize that "a while ago" when l_m mentioned is between 0.0.8b and latest commit, right?
