How do you make scopes from becoming flattened? They always do that, no matter the aspect ratio.

What do you want, kid? If the scopes are distorted, then it's most likely because you edited the png files in the game folders.

VladVP, that was a rude and unnecessary response.

ExplodingPie, are you talking about how when you fire a shot, the scope becomes distorted? If so, there's no way to fix that. I actually find it quite useful though, because when your scope is distorted it means that you can't shoot again yet, and then it's no longer distorted it means you've waited long enough to shoot again.

If not though, then I'm not sure.

Meh... I'm pretty sure he's dead anyways. But if he's not, then it'll probably benefit everyone if he went into details.

What I mean is that it is distorted because of aspect ratio issues. How do I fix these issues? I tried to change the aspect ratio, but nothing changes. So, for example, a circle becomes an oval scope.

If its that what Spring said, you are probably running the game in 800x600 resolution. I can't promise that it works but try to set it to an higher resolution and it should actually be fine. ( Can't really recommend running the game on higher than 800x600 )

It is not what Spring said. What Spring is talking about is the animation when you fire the gun. What ExplodingPie means is that the picture of the scope he's using is being resized to fit his or her screen resolution. The scope images are 800x600, while the screen resolution of ExplodingPie's computer may be something like 1366x768, which (assuming the scope is a perfect cirlce) will stretch the scope longways, resulting in an oval.

Now there is only one solution to this.. make your scope an oval and pray to god it turns out a circle. Works 100% legit.

I just play it in windowed mode.

By the way, why the hell are you making a circle? Red dot master race.

Playing at a higher resolution (like fullscreen) can result in move visibility which gives you a nice advantage. As for the circle, personal preference I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I might dig up my 13-dot scope at some stage, then. (It has a few guides to show you where the centre is.)
