Nobody can get files THAT easily off your computer. If you only forward one port, you're fine, but you're still at some kind of low risk of any type of exploit that the hacker knows that can be used to execute code on your computer. However, if you can't or don't know how to forward ports correctly, you would probably forward ALL possible ports to your computer and put yourself at high risk. That's why there's something called a firewall .

If you run FTP, a web server, or some kind of WebDAV server, then yes, that is the only way someone could get files off the 'puter. I have some limited ports opened on my computer through my router, but they are just "a few" and will be closed once I get my server, which is where I'll run all of my dedicated servers.

Google can't hack you. Except if you're running Chrome or anything Google-related, or you use their DNS servers, in which case you would really want to switch to OpenDNS.

I didn't mean google would hack you. I meant to say that it's about the same risk as someone getting your ip and doing something.

Thuyhoang, are you are going to be in California for a while or just for Sunday? Your post was a little confusing. If you don't live in America, it will be hard to attend matches and meetings since they will be at weird times.

yea sorry I will be back in America in maybe 3 years but don't worry i know what time it is over there. i usually come on at 6pm which is 8 am over here. But i can only play on saturday in America i came here cause I need work on my vietnamese skills cause i mean look! look at how good at english i am. LOL after 4 yrs in America my vietnamese was kinda shaky. i hope u understand. Its ok if i can't join.
