AoS ALT glitch

I just got a new laptop and when i play AoS I have to press ALT to move select etc. Please help!!!!! I tried disabling touchpad, but only works sometimes.

There are people who have this glitch.

Please give us the following information:
- what version of Windows you are using
- what model of computer you have (most notably the brand name)
- what graphics card/chip you are using

dxdiag can get you that info.

Otherwise, if you're going to be like everyone else with this issue and not tell us that stuff, then this issue will never be fixed.

WIndows 8 Dell inspiron 15 i dont know the graphics, ill look it up. got it. intel HD graphics it says. intel pentium inside processor.

I get the feeling that this doesn't play nicely with Windows 8.

Looking at a disassembly of 0.76, it uses MapVirtualKeyA to do the key conversions, but uses DirectInput 8 for the keyboard reads or something like that.

See if there are other games with the same issue. A good thing to try would be the Voxlap Engine Demo.

i ran the game successfully in win8 in a vm,
it might have to do with the language selected for the keyboard?

well i tried reinstalling and playing 0.76 -- still same problem. I have to press ALT+(the key i want to use) but space is fine, so is tab-- no need for alt PLEASE HELP

i edited some of the keycodes, then it worked for 10 min, (I used numpad) then broken again. PLEASE HELP.

You might need to change your laptop.
