Server List Bug

Hey all,

Has any1 else noticed that the master server on this site sumtimes lists your server with the wrong port?

For instance my server is the new improved without the quotes obviously "StixsworldHD's AOS" server.

In my server config it is setup to use the default port 32887 and my router is properly forwarded.

If you goto this site's master server list tho and search for my server it provides the url [url]aos://2461014860:55275[/url]

As you can see it thinks my server's port is 55275.

But if you goto this url [url]aos://2461014860:32887[/url] the proper 1, youll notice you actually connect properly with no issues.

So I think this site's master server needs a lil fixing honestly. As it is making it harder for us new server creators to take advantage of it.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll be doing some maintenance on the master server tonight and hopefully it'll help resolve this problem.

Jest thought it was worth reporting this. Kinda surprised as I think I am not the only server admin to have this issue and wouldve actually thought sum1 wouldve spotted this before me.

But in the end better late than never.

For now I put my server back online...was doing sum modifications for it but done now. Join in w/e any1 wants to. Also, love the script that I got that put dynamic fog into maps on my server.

Well in the past few days with me letting my server run, I have returned here to do a lil more personal investigation of my own.

& I have come to find out that it appears that the master server list on this site doesnt jest assign my server's url here with the wrong port when it initially launches after being down/off for sum time, but it appears to change said port #s upon every map change my server has.

Nonetheless the master server list here still fails to ever give my server the proper port for it's url.

This is bothersome as I have to manually go about and tell people step by step what and how to connect to my server with their browsers.

ATM it appears to have fixed that issue. yet another 1 seems to have come up.

How do I chose where my server is being hosted from in the config? As for sum odd reason it all a sudden keeps getting setup to think it is hosting from Sweden when it clearly isnt as I live in the United States.

So I think I fixed my issue I jest added the language command to my server's config and set it to 0...now it seems to be working perfectly.

Well, I know there was a bug with incorrect port numbers, depending on the game server's network setup. Chances are that's what fixed it.

Well atm for sum odd reason my server keeps getting listed as if it is hosting from Germany or any other country besides United States.

I unno why? But this does seem to cause major lag for me even tho I connect from the same PC that is hosting.

Well I unno if any1 did another master server update or not but it appears my server is once again listing properly 100%. Thank you for keeping up with the maintenance. I know it can be annoying. But much respect. I hope to continue to contribute to this community as much as possible.
