[EVENT - ENDED] LINES 0.76 CTF - You're invited!

With the mostly whole success of our Infiltration event, we've been inspired to organise another, different event, which perhaps will be a little more balanced for all parties ;)

About a month ago we'd organised an in-clan game of CTF, but lacked the turn-out to really make a go of it. I quickly asked around on several clan channels on Quakenet and invited anyone interested to come and play, which to our surprise was a resounding success and loads of fun for everyone involved. For these reasons, we've decided to organise yet another match with a similar set-up, and invite members of the wider community to come and play.

TEAMS

Each team is "captained" by a member of the LINES clan. It should be noted that every participant in this event will need to come to our match channel - http://webchat.minit.nu/?channel=#LINES.match - at least 5 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. If you have any trouble joining, please PM me before the match, with as much notice as possible. Try joining now, if you like. For this match, the blue team will be captained by TheWildMuffin and the green team by cuulli.

In the IRC channel, each captain will choose their team from the participants available taking turns, similar to a Gym/P.E class.
I know this sounds a little unfair, but we haven't found a better method (yet) and if you're chosen last, you'll simply have to suck it up. The decisions of both captains will of course be influenced by their experiences (or lack thereof) with the participants available, so if you're chosen last, take it not as a personal insult, but as an opportunity to prove your skills and worth in a team to the wider community. Anyone looking to participate in 0.76 League Season 2 should definitely consider taking part in this match.

When your name is called by either TheWildMuffin or cuulli in the IRC channel, please add a 1 if you're on Muffin's team or a 2 if you're on cuulli's team to the end of your nick. This is done simply by typing "/nick yournamehere1", eg. /nick Will1 or /nick Will2.

In the (unlikely) unfortunate event that we have more participating players than an Ace of Spades server will fit (32), we ask that you do remain in the IRC channel in case someone needs to sub out. One of the captains of either team will come into the IRC channel and beep you if they'd like you to come and sub in. The server bot will also be in the channel, so you'll be able to see a running log of who's joined or left the server. Please note that this is a temporary fix until we've worked out a better method of team selection - we've considered a few and are open to suggestions for future matches.

Should any captain not be able to make it, we'll select a participating member of LINES on the fly to take on the role.

This match will take place on Ace of Spades 0.76. You can download it here.
We'll be using the LINES 076 Match Server, the same server we used for our last 0.76 event.

The map will be an old favourite, Normandie by Influx.

The gamemode will be classic, good old fashioned CTF. The match will be played until one team captures 5 intels, or until 45 minutes is up - whichever comes first.

The match will begin at 2:30 pm UTC on Saturday the 6th of July - Countdown

As for scripts, we'll be running airstrike2 where you're able to call down and airstrike by scoping in and holding V, after you achieve a 10 killstreak without dying. We're looking at a couple of other scripts but for now this is the only one - everything else is strictly vanilla. That said, we're totally open to suggestions and please post below if you've got any good ones. I'll say this so it isn't suggested, we're not interested in running the squad script.
