Realm of the Mad God
[/size]Overview:
It's a 2d side-scroller very much based on combat.
It's fairly addictive, as it is MMORPG with quick levelling up to a maximum of 20, followed by fame accumulation.
If your character dies, you cannot reclaim the items or levels he had. You are given a vault with one chest (out of many) which can hold 8 items in, so vault your items if you don't want to lose them!
Your character progresses through killing mobs, completing quests, acquiring items, increasing stats, taking on 'gods' (bosses, or high-level monsters fires 100 dmg shotguns) which range from puny to impossible to do alone.
The 'Mad God' refers to Oryx - when the major bosses of a realm are defeated, all players in the realm are taken to Oryx's castle. It has some very difficult bosses in it, and it's easy for them to claim your life. However, if you get past his guardians and into his chamber and kill him, there's some very decent drops that are possible.
PS: There are two Oryx, one at the Chamber, one at his Wine Cellar. The real one is in his Wine Cellar, the most difficult dungeon of the game, with the highest tier loot. It's locked, too, and the WC Incanation used to unlock it is extremely rare.
The game is great fun, especially with friends.
Our guild!
We have our own guild, named Realm of Build and Shoot(actually it's RoBnS, the name was too long). At 1000 fame NestoFlo was able to start one.
We have ~2 members, all from the AoS community - so if you want to join, play for a bit, come say hello and we can add you. You must have at least one star for me to be able to invite you, so have a roll around a realm and complete quests. Once you've completed a class quest I can add.
Guild allows us to chat using /g (which shows up in green speech bubbles), to have highlighting of guild members etc.
Where do we play?:
We choose a server manually - EU servers, mostly EUWest, North.
If you go from the main menu to 'Servers', you can select it there.
If you're in the game and wondering how to get to the main menu, press O and choose back to menu.
