Hey guys, I was just editing some of my personal mods, and then it hit me. This awesome idea for a BnS server plugin. Now before I put out my idea, I want to tell you guys that I cannot code for my life. So, if this was to happen, I'd need someone else to do it. Now then. Yes, my plugin idea. So basically, what if you could have a plugin that allowed different classes inside the default classes? For example, take the semi class. Maybe in the first version it would have two different classes inside it. The original semi class with a fire rate buff to about the speed of the BF3 SKS (because the only reason that the default semi is as slow as it is, is to balance it as a semi automatic and a sniper), and then a bolt action class that is drastically slower in fire rate, but packs more of a punch. And the smg? So many possibilities. Obviously, I would change the stats of the smg to more resemble an assault rifle (you know, a pinch of fire rate nerf, a extremely small damage buff, a moderate hip fire accuracy buff, as well as a small range buff, and tiny recoil nerf). Then, there are the ideas for other classes like a two-round burst, three-round burst, and less likely, but I guess possible slower fire rate but better accuracy and damage, as well as a good recoil nerf. And lastly the shotgun. Now, I don't see a problem with the default shotgun, but I think semi auto and full auto shotgun classes would be good to have. They'd add to the chaos :D. The last thing that could benefit from this is the AoS Modloader. For instance, when you change classes, you could use modloader to switch the skins to the appropriate weapon. Thanks for reading and I hope someone puts this into code!

You see, I have no problem with the idea, Because it will be a server plugin not a game update, But this will take out the simplicity of the game and I would be really tough to code that without client side files, Also lot of lag will be there.
Pros
Server-Side
More Strategical Game-play
More Modding
New Maps?

Cons
Will Require Client-Side Files
Will Be Laggy
A Lot Of Glitches
Harder Learning Curve
Need TO Make All Weapons Balanced

In the end this is allot of work.

Good idea, I wish that for the game, but, as Kuma said, not that easy to add, it'd be more like a new game.
Maybe an idea for Iceball?

I feel like it'll just overcomplicate things as you'd have to use commands. Would be a bit silly.

The SMG is what's wrong with 0.75. Suggesting a damage buff? Fuck off.

What I did for the Powerthirst version was I nerfed the headshot damage, made the overall damage more regular, reduced the spread, stuck with the same recoil, upped the fire rate, and doubled the reload time. The reload time is what makes this gun.

But yeah, you can use Powerthirst for this (the vanilla client won't handle it) - it has 6 weapon slots (you can only choose 3 in the weapon select though so you WILL need a command for it), and you can change the balances of the guns. If you're doing burst fire stuff though, you'll currently need to resort to a hackjob.

Alternatively, you could start moving people to Iceball, but the docs need sorting out and it needs a proper modding API. (It's a bit more legal than Powerthirst.)

Ah, and this the part where Autohotkey comes in very handy. I've used it several times and it works like a charm. And I know someone going to say "you can't use that you %$#@ing hAx0r n00b!!!1" if I didn't put that idea out of its misery first. To, anyone who would have said anything resembling that statement, well... Fuck off. Paratrooper himself told me that it was in fact not considered a hack, and if anything it was a nerf, being that there where no benefits to go with it other than slightly more controllable recoil.

By the way, you can create a aimbot with AutoHotKey.
except that I don't consider AutoHotKey hacking.

Sorry but it is a hack. As to whether or not it's cheating is debatable. For the time being, the sin of using the 0.75 SMG outweighs the advantage you get with using a burst fire script, so I'm happy to let it slide for now.

Using AutoHotKey to do a norecoil however is not on and WILL get you banned forever.

Having said that, if you're allowed to use that, I think we should be allowed to use acclient.exe (no-spread rifle).

Can someone tell me where this post was moved to? Whichever admin took the liberty of moving it also forgot to post where it was being moved to. I'm pretty sure that that's also in the admin rules, due to the fact that every time I see a topic get moved the admin says where it's going.
