I quite clearly remember that wonderful stream of 2d rectangles that would fall off the planes as you shot them.

That is one of the oldest multiplayer arena games around. Still played today in the form of Quake Live. I personally didn't play it much when it came out, I was way to young (think 3-4 years old :P). But I play Quake Live.

Lego Star Wars was probably one of the first games I got addicted too. It's fun as fricking heck, I LOVE LEGO GAMES!
Lego Racers was another game I played a bit to as a younger child.
I remember once my brothers and I got Guild Wars classic and it was baws! But then the free trial ran out and we didn't buy the full version :P
