other than that, they seem to work fine on localhost when i use a pre-built map like marketgarden. still find them a little complex for my taste but i bet there's someone out there who could use these quite well.
  • Left mortars and right mortars signify which side of the map they are on when you look at it in map view (pressing M). They cannot be used interchangably, and getting them the wrong way around will end up in them firing behind you.
  • The Z value is the block 2 voxels up from ground level of the mortar. In the mortars I've made, this makes them the top block, although bigger mortars/artillery can be made.
  • Yes, the mortar shoots towards the enemy's spawn, which means they do indeed fire in the direction of the ammo rack.
There's not really much more I can do to make them more user-friendly, but in capable hands, they can cause some serious damage.

This should be the airstrike in Assault. Imagine 2 mortars out in the water, ready to attack as soon as someone gets a good streak.

making it like an airstrike from Assault would take away the skill needed to use one. and if you could just click on a coordinate and fire it's not that much different from a regular airstrike.

but what if it required some one at the mortar and some one to mark targets? down side; forces griefers to work together. organized griefers are already a plague.
