1.0 actually looked kind of cool until I saw this video. This class is way overpowered. I mean, seriously? Adding the ability to fly? That ruins the game. And an automatic turret. Those are SOOOO annoying in TF2 and WAY overpowered in 1.0. When I saw the miner video, I thought Jagex was actually going to make 1.0 cool but this is just crap.

why did they feel the need to have a rocketeer?
You got people like me, Tribes players on the line here. Jetpacks are required to speed up the pace of this game ;)
Joking aside though, I think it was a last minute thing, cramming features in their game.. I honestly don't see jetpacks fit for AoS.

The main problem I see with all of this is that there are now 2 classes with core mechanics which are purpose built to completely devalue building, both in different ways. If they were only breaking the point of building in one way it might be possible to counter, but this is still bad design. There is literally no point of building any fortifications or walls with a Miner or Rocketeer on the enemy team, both classes have an easy way to bypass and destroy more or less any building much faster than repairs can be made. It's difficult to worry about class balance when class mechanics don't follow any discernible design rules. I don't really understand what the game designers must be thinking, perhaps they aren't.

Guys, the point is to have every class overpowered to even out how powered things are. So imagine someone shooting a nuke and blowing up half the map and another guy with a 1 second invincible suit deflecting it and blowing the nuke guy up with a torpedo. It's just how modern FPS's go bros.

I knew AoS 1.0 wouldn't have a WWI feeling, but obviously copying Team Fortress, I didn't think Jagex was that stupid.
There are no games out there ATM with a WW1 setting. AoS had probably the closest you'd get and it was awesome, its own game with its own theme and its own twist. Now Jagex thought it would be swell to turn that into a generic shitty ass TF2 clone appealing to an entirely different brainless audience.

Blue_NotHappy Green_Nothappy The three things I don't like about this game is:1.The Rocketeer, a lot of noobs would use him 2.It's not free of course 3.all of the FREAKING EXPLOSIONS!
