Might just as well as to follow your minimalist style. I mean, AoS is slightly cartoonic, then why not the guns?
So, tell me, how do you able to adjust-ahem, make the weapons looks mini-ish? I do know where are the playerarms placed on the guns in-games.
tl;dr: how to do mini-looking mods like yours?

Can't agree with you on aos being cartoonish, it's blocky with saturated colors. Which is pretty much the oppposite of cartoonish.

those are all pretty damn good, nice job dude. the only thing I dislike is the way you made some of your circles with the kv6, when you have enough space you should make them like this: http://i.imgur.com/PaAgVuy.png
(I just did one side, but hopefully you know what i mean)
unless they are purposefully diamond shaped, but I think if you use this method it will look a lot better. just go into paint and mess around with the circle tool, even though some circles that can be made do not look that nice with this tool

I swear you're sights are impeachable, I mean they are epic. I love the glow on the phosphorous parts on the sights.
