I recall the most amazing thing about Pokemon:
Wait.....you mean I can pretty much save whenever and wherever the hell I want? This is the best game EVER!

Also, there used to be this thing called PokemonCrater...wonder if that's still around.

I hate games that cant save at anytime.I still like abit of the Dragon Quest series but as Pokemon the older generations were much better.I actually ragequitted because on Dragon Quest I was so close to the next town so I can save,then BAM Im dead and have to repeat the process over and over again just to get an another shot.On Pokemon SoulSilver(I like HeartGold and Soul Silver becauseThey are just like the 1st and 2nd gen mixed together),I saved before I battled Mew 2 so that If Mew 2 dies accidently I can just switch my DS off then restart again at that save point to try and catch Mew 2.

Haha, most other games that I played around the same time (and just before) didn't even let you save - you were given a fucking "password" that had all the data (lives, level, etc) encoded in it!

It sounds like the original gens were pretty awesome. Being young, my first game was Diamond, then Pearl, Then Platinum, and done. Gotten back into Platinum a little bit.

One of my hobbies, i play Pokemon since i was 3 years old.
Now, I'm trying to play competive and at the moment I'm RNGing and EV-Training my Pokes.
I own at least one game of every generation.
