Everyone knows that waffles will win because they are predominately American, and there are more Americans on Build and Shoot than most other countries.

I can eat more waffles than I can pancakes, I always grab a few of those eggo waffles when I go grocery shopping, and I eat pancakes when I go out to Mcdonalds or something. It's a 50/50 win win for me.

I like waffles more because they stay slightly crispy on the outside, which works well with butter because the butter doesn't get absorbed into them, so stays in a concentration that is easier to taste. And I dislike pancakes because they get all soggy and nasty-like.

Why would I like something over something else just because it's from my country?

I agree with you. I wouldn't like waffles better just because of my country. ( not saying I like waffles better, maybe I do, maybe not)

While I agree that the average waffle is better than the average pancake, a good pancake is just heavenly. IHOP isn't even really that good.

Uhh.. that reminds me of butter milk pancakes. They almost deserve their own voting option. Its a hard choice between that and waffles.
