The Jagex files are the investigative journalism of Jdrew. They take the look at what Jagex has done, whether you believe it or not is your choice. I now who I talk to and what I am doing. Viewer discretion is advised. First up is season one, in this season I go on an undercover interview with no other then Mroberts. Mroberts is a jagex forum moderator on the jagex website, he really liked to talk though. Hope fully I shut him up though. So after careful consideration I decided to release it to the full public instead of just the other members of my team who I will not name. Next season will be even better!
First video, I started recording when the call started. This is where the main information is told..
Follow up to episode 1 as it was a long video
Secend call a day later, this was the last I herd from Mroberts..
Interesting stuff, jdrew. And "The Jagex Files" title just makes me LOL. As someone who has pretty much avoided the Jagex forums, it's a bit weird to listen to MrRoberts, him being sort of a bizarro mirror-image version of the moderators here at buildandshoot. He seems like a nice enough kid but also seems to be completely out of his depth. I suppose the 1.0 version is complex enough that it warrants having someone explain things but it just baffles me how little he knows about this game's history.
I think you might understand what I mean when I think it's just best to let all of this stuff lie. It's good that you're attempting to repair the connections between the two versions of this game but I am just not sure I see what the point of that would be. Jagex is always going to be looking at this from a commercial standpoint and BuildandShoot will always be pretty much the opposite of that.
But either way, your "undercover interview" definitely shows you've earned your News Team badge no doubt. Good job.

I'm pretty sure there are laws in most US states that require you to tell the other person you are going to record a conversation.
I was going to mention this too. It really depends. Some info is here.
Considering most of the conversation consists of "herp derp derp" i really doubt anything would come of it.
revealing that mroberts is a forum specialist and that him and sally talks about the community is not something I would consider a private conversation.
Bastion forever.

I'm just really disappointed, not surprised though, that they told us very specifically that no one from the Jagex forums would be put in charge there just because they were in charge on the Jagex forums. While this probably wasn't the exact reason of him being given that position, I highly doubt that it had nothing to do with it.

i haven't watched them entirely, and even if there was no 'secret' information at all, it's still a pretty shitty move,
and it shows what kind of person jdrew is.

He was pretty much ok with it, yea he was mad but he wasn't totally pissed off at me for doing it

It's not really about how mad he was, it's about how much of a dick move and potentially a crime it was.
