So. I was sitting here, on my couch, like usual, when an idea popped into my mind. What if clans weren't sign up and accepted/denied? What if instead, players were all put up on a draft board?
So its like this:
-Each clan that signs up gets 50 points.
-These 50 points can be stockpiled and saved, or spent and used on new members for a clan.
-The client and the clan leader(s) negotiate a price, and agree to a deal.
-A deal is worked out by a negotiated match/point ratio.
So lets say this is the draft board:
Player: Asking(Points)/Matches played: Ratio: Killstreak: Most kills/Other info:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MLG-Pr0X 40 points/10 matches 0.9 17 Best weapon is SMG
ScrubMcNoob 20 points/3 matches 1.8 32 330/Best Weapon is Rifle
xXJBSUKZXx 17 points/2 matches 1.3 8 Likes the Shotgun/Prefers close quarters
Clans would then negotiate offers via PMs, then would message me the details:
[DELTA] signed MLG-Pr0x to an 8 match/27 point deal
[TLB] signed ScrubMcNoob to a 7 match/35 point deal
[AKA] signed xXJBSUKZXx to a 1 match/5 point deal.
Then, there would be a bracket, in which clans would enter if they wish. Brackets would be randomly mismatched, and would play until a winner is crowned. At the end of the season, each clan would receive 10 points, no matter what. The final four teams receive more points than the others: 4th place gets 3 points, plus their 10 at the end of the season, 3rd place gets 5 points, along with their 10 at the end of the season, 2nd place gets 7 points, as well as their 10 at the end of the season, and 1st place gets 10 points, with their 10 points at the end of the season.
Along with the top four teams receiving points at the end of the season, there are awards. These awards include, but are not limited to, "Upset of the season",which is where a clan that is favored to win loses to an underdog, "Biggest win of the season", and others. I haven't yet figured this all out. Comments, feedback, and suggestions are very welcome.
I really want to know what you guys think about this.
I have an idea for clans...

Not a bad idea, but I'm wondering. Are the clans going to fight whenever they want to, or will it be fixed dates?
I mean, if it's fixed dates, then there might be a problem considering how many teams there are going to be. If they'll fight whenever they want to, there would be the danger of a team willingly losing to another one because they're secretly friends or something.
I might just be overly dramatic though.

@TBS More than likely on fixed dates. Always on the weekend, as I know plenty of people that play this game are still in middle school/high school. Probably have to setup two leagues too, considering that its gonna be pretty hard to have someone in Europe play with someone in the US. Ill probably hire some people to watch over games too, to make sure they arent fixed. I dont know yet, the entire idea hasnt ran through my mind yet
Not sure what to put here...

Would not work at all, very very few clan leaders would be willing/have the time/be bothered to participate. Fuck most clans can't event get match together or take part in a tourney. Interesting idea though, innovative.

I think that the normal League would not only suffice, but would be a lot less confusing for new members.
