I don't really like the nether portals though, what's the point of them?

The nether portals are implemented to give a bit of cover and to make the islands less dull

I really love this map, and I think that the nether portals was more of a nice touch. I was suprised to see them :)

Okay... somebody needs to write a working 'Nether Portal' script now. Maybe we could define them in the map extension?

Gibbs3333, the tool that I used to make the map was voxed. Buffet, BR was talking about something like that, there probably is something already made that would work for this

I am making a map called : Portal. It used an original concept and a script : platform.py. I am building teleporters, portals, elevators to reproduce the game Portal. You can use platform.py to set Nether Portals.

There was a bit too much spawn killing but now it has gotten a little better and more players try to go for the objective
