You can turn it off if you like if you're hosting your own server (pkg/base/common.lua, MODE_DRUNKCAM_LOCALTURN - don't turn MODE_DRUNKCAM_VELOCITY on unless you want to seriously risk throwing up, provided that still even works).
Older versions of Ace of Spades (I know 0.54 has it and IIRC 0.60 doesn't) have this "feature" which is referred to as "drunken camera". I don't think Iceball does all of it, but it does do the camera-local rotate and the up vector autoreorientation.
For comparison: Tilt your head (yes, your real head) about 90deg down. Now, relative to the way you are facing, tilt it about 90deg to the left. Now, slowly reorient it so that the top of your head is facing up. That's roughly what's happening.

By the way, next time you're on the server, say "yolo". I dare you.
Speaking of the server, nice cahir, whoever that was.

I do remember behavior similar to this, but I'm a big gameplay bitch and wanted to "fix" it. It may be realistic in a way but it also severely interferes with the x-axis sensitivity when aiming downwards.
I'll look for something else to "fix", like the fact y-axis recoil remains constant and the AoS macro I created probably renders it useless.
Drunkcam velocity works, no puking here, you get used to it in Ace of Spades.

0.0-32 released with ImpulseTracker module support, now you can hear the rest of the piece that plays, IN HIGH QUALITY, and only 31KB

At least on my future Iceball server. I've never played a game besides AoS where the recoil is constant, it's especially exploitable considering the impact recoil has on aim, you're going to see these incredibly easy to create cheats pop up eventually.

Found three fun things to do,
1. pretend to balance on your gun

2. immerse yourself and shoot out of blocks

3. Play with yourself

The new weapon should be a sniper rifle. Not as much as its OP but just to where it has better scopes and zoom then the normal rifle which we could just call rifle.

What if instead of the usual splash screen with "ace of spades" or whatever iceball uses, there would be one of these images? picked randomly every time.

Why not have the loading screen image be client side. That way the client doesn't have to download a 1 MB image.

Whatever happens to Iceball lets hope they always think of " Build to Survive "
No like now " Climb hills in 5 second , sensitivity screwed , Player models are horrible!!! , Rifle is just hold and spray , all in all its shit , but lets hope it will look as something like this image.

TBS wrote:http://imgur.com/a/eSdEeClicked the "download" button for that. I'll need to see if Monsteri is OK with it being under CC-BY-SA if we're going to incorporate it into the trunk itself.

Could be a prick to manage but yeah, that does sound pretty good. I think we should invest in a more robust player model system, though, if we're going to throw that in.
