Really, no need to repeat yourself three times. Just relax.
I'm not completely positive why your map came out like that, but I suspect you didn't use a 512X512 image or maybe used the wrong color depth. You probably didn't read the directions or, at very least, understand them properly.
If you like, go read the tutorial I spent several hours this morning creating. If you apply the principles I explain in there, creating what I provide for you below is a relatively simple affair.
I spent the past five or ten minutes re-creating what I think is more like what you were aiming for.


I included the map and all the files I used to create it in the zip file below:

Enjoy. Please bear in mind that this still isn't what I would consider to be a very good map. The clouds interfere with the Earth's terrain features. But, at least, we now have something that is marginally attractive & playable. I suppose it could be fun to camp out inside the eye of that hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean.

Ahm! Australia rules! I camped there and got more than 150 kills! Anyway the original is absolutily shocking
It's almost unplayable and has nothing to grab the player.
