Hmm, it seems that there is a significant interested in making decent AI. I will consider making a more formal writeup of the design.

No, Mantle was developed in 2013. Might as well use Vulkan while you're at it.

Mantle = PhysX = marketing, bc they are available only on fixed platforms.
Have you always wanted a sound tinnitus effect in AoS?
No?
Anyway, here it is for OpenSpades!

He thought low level meant better. It's actually not.

Anyone care to send the new ace-spades.com owners an offer to buy back the domain? Be warned many of them are dirty scalpers and probably will charge you like 2 grand for the domain.

We're working on AOF. Everything is fine although progress is a bit slow. It is certain that the gameplay will be radically different from AoS, and we will use a smaller scale for voxels in order to increase detail.

Also if you speak about AOF... why would you need it ?

Sorry, that post about the domain is actually from May but I was testing the "bump topic" button which I had just found out about.
We don't "need" games, but we want to make a game (dubbed "AoS of the Future" since we're too busy to think of a good name) because we would like to take a different angle to the voxel genre.
EDIT: Oh, if you were talking about smaller scale, this is simple to explain. Suppose you were driving a tank and it fired at a brick wall. There has to be a way to show that the brick wall got a "dent" instead of part of it just magically disappearing. The solution is to simply allow a map to have more detail. If octrees are used correctly, then this will use just as much space as a map with the traditional scale.
