Yes it is possible. Don't apply this to shotgun script and you'll be fine.
Have you always wanted a sound tinnitus effect in AoS?
No?
Anyway, here it is for OpenSpades!

Looking for an opinion about this script, maybe this is the wrong place to post it but....could this be considered as a hack? I love the hell out of this thing but I've been getting vk'd like, once a night, since I've been using this lol.
I guess technically changing the FOV can be done through the settings menu anyways, just wondering what others' thoughts are on this
btw, did I say I LOVE THE HELL out of this script? lol, good fuckin job man

Well... I can't decide this myself.
Not hack:
-Anyone with OS can do this (no external "tools" needed)
-Someone might sneak around you when you have smaller FOV
-Rifle's meant to be this way. Not SMG though, it must remain at default FOV.
Hack:
-If you consider this a hack, then whole OS is hack (some AoS players claim it's unfair and I believe them)
-Some advantage over AoS players and people with vanilla OpenSpades.
-Might be applied to SMG. Which is not wanted, as it's overpowered a bit.
Hmm... I might add a limit to cg_fov, like 65-80 degrees minimum. Or maybe make that FOV changes require restarting game to be applied.

Can someone upload a video of gameplay with this script? I would like to see how this does before I install it. Thanks

Sorry, I can't. My computer got toasted (troubles with motherboard), so I can't use OS right now.
This script improves your experience very little and isn't very useful anyway.

Strange, I never had issues like that... Maybe you are missing a line or something?
Also I would like to say that this script is not supported by me. I won't do anything like this anymore, I believe this doesn't make gameplay better.

It is possible, but I won't do it:
a) doesn't contribute positively to gameplay (there are other things I could do that do contribute),
b) this script is already not fair against other players,
c) OpenSpades doesn't have a future. Pretty graphics, but weak & buggy engine,
d) it requires messing with the source code and I'm lazy,
e) I haven't seen any good scopes you could use this with (I am aware of most mods out there).

Could work in older versions, but that needs testing.
Also that gif in signature needs to stop or at least slow down
