I would definitely go with Ace of Spades Classic. I gave OpenSpades a go, and one thing I certainly liked about Ace of Spades Classic were the charming graphics. OpenSpades' improved graphics don't feel right. Also, OpenSpades is a lot easier. The guns have less recoil and spread. I've sniped people with the shotgun, and they would sometimes go down in one hit. OpenSpades is nice, but for me personally, I don't see much of a reason to use it over Ace of Spades.

I would say my own, except that I never bothered to finish it.
I think I'll crawl back under the rug now.

Off-topic: After changing from Windows to Debian, I noticed that AoS classic runs on Wine lol. So the "OpenSpades runs on linux" argument doesn't count.

I've actually been seeing a rise in popularity of PB. The language is pretty robust, although it still has some "archaisms" like pointers and directives. Only problem that I have with the language is that the toolchain costs $$$. Yep, you know how it is: the software's either absolutely free or costs $50+.

I personally prefer using the old client. Sure, openspades looks and plays well but until I figure out how to properly mod it I'll stick to the old one.
