About a month ago I purchased Netflix after not having it for over a year. Since my purchase I've only watched one television show and a few other things.
So, I wanted to know about some television series everyone loves. Hopefully this will help I and some others find some new shows to watch. Please mention shows that you watch on Netflix or know for a fact are on there. A little description and rating would be favored too.
The show I watched was Breaking Bad, and if you haven't seen it, I feel really sorry for you. Probably my favorite show of all time. It's about a high school science teacher who finds out he has Lung Cancer. Knowing there will be many expensive bills that follow therapy he turns to a former student of his to help make and sell meth. It's very twisted and you'll never know what'll happen next. If you have a very light stomach, not interested in action, etc, some parts of the show are not for you.

Once upon a time is a really decent show.
Monk is probably my all time favorite TV show though.

I don't know about y'all, but I prefer realistic fiction. As much as I love to laugh, some of these new comedy shows are awful.

I use my friends Netflix because I'm too cheap to pay for my own. All I've watched so far has been all King of the Hill and Home Movies episodes. The best animated comedies. Also fyi Gunslinger Netflix sucks for Anime. Their selection is so weak and lame :(

@ElderChandler,
When I originally had Netflix I watched ALL of the King of the Hill episdoes. That's another one of my favorites. Same with Malcom in the Middle.
@Semper,
I've heard good things about that show. I'll see if it's on Netflix and check it out.

I don't actually use a Netflix, but the dumb afterschool program I'm forced to go to's anime club only uses Netflix, so that's the only thing I know is on Netflix, besides a 1000 and 1 B-list cartoon movies.

I love The Thick of it. But I will warn you that it is a satirical take on the British Government, I find it really funny but it might not be for everyone.
Also The Office, the UK and the US versions both have their merits, and Father Ted, a comedy about priests living on an island.

I thought I'd mention a few "movies" in here too. If you love to laugh I recommend Kevin Heart's three shows he has on Netflix. Can't remember the names right now, but they were all good.
Just a few days ago I started watching White Collar. Another show where they try to solve crimes in a not so much series way, I guess. It's not the greatest, but it's worth a shot.
