"The World's Ugliest Map!"
Strange name, strange map.I have been messing about with various mapping tools pretty much since I began playing, and I've had some pretty good ideas, that usually turn out to be rubbish. A map entirely underground, a moonbase (how original), etc.
Browsing through my old files, I found this... thing.
The Map
"Humps" is an odd thing but with interesting potential. The map consists of a main hill, merged with two smaller hills, and two other much smaller hills just around the spawn areas of each team, with an additional two hills bordering the map.
Controlling the main hill is more the objective of the game than anything else. Being able to control that hill means you can easily defend yourself from conventional attacks.
However, the ground itself is nine blocks deep which means you can also tunnel under the flat area of the map.
I haven't tested it properly (with more than twenty players) yet, but it seems like it has a lot of potential. Perhaps the next pinpoint or bridgewars?
The Design
Right now the map looks rather... erm... horrible. The terrain somewhat resembles a cat's vomit after eating too much grass.
I'll probably clean this up later, but the colour of the terrain does not matter, rather the terrain itself which offers either a snipefest or a covert tunnel war.

Testing Match
I can host a server so I thought I might be fun (and useful) at some point to have a testing match. But we shall see.
I have tested it for about thirty minutes, on my own and with about three other people on and off (random people who joined my server) and it seemed to go quite well, but this is a map that requires a lot of players on it. There are no buildings or special objects in the map.
