That is awesome- someone make it happen.

(I would love to, but I don't know how, and have hardly any time anyways)

If somebody starts playing VXW and there are enough players to fully replace bots, sure we can play this. And a lot of epic AoS maps that I buried out of the sand of time and oblivion ;)

Update 0.0.1:
-.png scopes (they're a bit crappy combined with the gun KV6, but you can disabled the KV6 by setting its resolution to 0)
-A server text is shown while loading the map. I can imagine very many good usages for this. It could be instructions for a new gamemode or scripts, funny stuff to entertain you while the map is loading or other things.
-There's a new option which can make KV6 look worse but render them faster, in case 64 players slow your system down

So LeFizzy can not keep his server up for a long time, because it's too expensive. Because of this I switched to shaz's server. You can connect with the newest client version.

Hmm, let's see what modding is like now.

An idea for you- give the option to set the gun scaling, so one can make the gun as High or low res as one wants. (might already be available, not sure)

It's the "nope" size. At least in height. I could work it out the ye' olden way, but I was nudging in the direction of bigger map size support. Anyway the map isn't public (doesn't mean the author won't provide it if asked).

This new release is excellent and really seems to have promise. Well done, it's turning into a hybrid of classic AoS and the full screen/aiming of OpenSpades.

1 or 2 q's:

- I have found the kv6_density value- would 32 be the gun is half the size, or double- how does the scaling work?

- Can you resize the bmp used for aiming?

- Do you know if you will ever be able to get lighting in like minecraft/OS- I know that they use OpenGl, but I'm just wondering if it's possible.

- If you would like to differentiate between average riflemen and snipers, I suggest a bipod for the sniper, and a larger zoomed scope- eg up to 7x or something.

Awesome release anyway, can't wait for the event, whenever it is. Thanks for all the work you are putting in, Green_Happy1

also, pls make the kv6 naming scheme a little easier to understand- descriptive file names would be nice.

"Density" - you probably have heard that somewhere else. The higher it is, the smaller the gun.

Sure, you can choose any size. Also, if you have such a question, you can just try if it works before asking - in the worst case, it won't do anything else except simply crashing ;)

Not without fucking it all up, which would result in crashes and low framerate. Tho' I can try to simulate something looking like shadows later. Faking graphical effects worked pretty well with gun flashes and the blur effect when getting hit xd

That would lead to actual classes. However, a different gun design for snipers is a good idea. Might get implemented later.

Thanks. If everything works well, the event will be the second next weekend.
KV6 names are like that: everything weapon related with 0 is rifle, 1 is SMG, 2 is shotgun. Tool KV6 numbers are exactly as the keys as well. You just have to subtract 1 in both cases.

Oh yeah, I think I should make a modding instruction.

Nice one, Warp! But I would made the 'By LeCom' smaller, and maaaybe change the 'Voxel' color to, say, sky blue? (The blue in the old splash)

Again, resize 'By LeCom' and maybe give 'VoxelWar' a two-tone. Or maybe style it like those old logos of the 80s!
And that's a lot better.
