Lol I first thought your client got fucked up by the hacks, but it's actually just an aimbot and a wierd name. Hacks are pretty common and there are scripts which detect exagerated cases like this and automatically ban the hacker, but admins usually don't add them.

If you don't want to play with a hacker, find a different server to play on, or votekick that person.

Open source means it's pretty easy to make any hack you want. Existing hack detection scripts could be tricked that way. I'm not sure how effective an auth system would be, if one can make as many accounts as he wants.

Well that's just not true.

And don't worry, the community anticheat has worked great so far. (By which I mean letting this place go to hell and driving away anyone capable of making cheats aka anyone with an IQ in the triple digits)

Well you don't make the anti-cheat and auth part opensource and never release it to anyone. UrbanTerror staff have issues with their auth system every two-three months, so auth system will require some attention.
The anticheat though... If you make it tricky enough, there will be little to no working cheats. I have real good ideas, of which I am not going to speak openly (except for yvt, aloha staff etc.).

I've offered to make an AC multiple times. The problem is that Stack wants to do everything himself but can't. I could have an AC that detects the current hacks in a day. I could also have a working auth system in a week with some help from rakiru. We've offered, again, multiple times. But Stack has either said he's working on something or just ignored it.

Then just do an AC on yourself. The more there are, the better. BnS admins seem to be pretty inactive now since danhezee left.
PS. how would you detect accuracy hax and norecoil faster/reliably?
